A stretch hood is made of a film material with a resting dimension smaller than the load it has to wrap. A machine stretches the hood and places it on the load. Then, once released, the hood retracts and compresses the load unit.
Use of stretch hoods
It is a securing system that cannot be applied manually. However, this method is perfect for automated application at very high speeds. The size of the cap and the parameters of the machinery are specific for each type of load. Therefore this method is not very flexible and finds the natural application in serial production of a large number of pieces.

The load unit thus obtained can then be loaded and secured on board the transport unit.
