Lashing steel wire ropes

Steel wire ropes are often used to fix steel plates, and in general they are used on vehicles equipped with winch tensioners fixed directly on the vehicle. The specifications of the steel ropes are described in the standard EN 12195-4, Lashing steel wire ropes.

As in the case of using web lashings or chains, the lashing calculation shall be performed according to the formulas contained in the EN 12195-1 standard.
